How long can a hamster go without food?
Most hamsters can survive up to 3-4 days without any food - this is due to their innate habits to store food away in the wild incase of famine or drought. However, now that hamsters are domesticated animals, they should be fed once per day if their food bowl is empty. If you find your hamsters food bowl is still full then it is not necessary to give them any more food, just ensure that their water is fresh and topped up. Although, if your hamster is leaving food for long periods of time, we'd recommend swapping this out for fresh food to avoid illness, and consulting your vet if you're concerned.

How much food should I feed my rabbit?
The amount of food you should feed your rabbit is dependent on their size, weight and whether you are giving them fresh food or pellets. For every 2-4 lbs of body weight you should feed your rabbit 1/8 a cup of pellets, for 8-10 lbs they should be fed 1/2 a cup and for 11-15lbs, 3/4 cup of pellets. You should also feed your rabbit fresh vegetables in addition to their pellets, but it's important to make sure that you do not overfeed them. As a rough guideline, vets often recommend 1 cup of fresh food to be given per 5 lbs of body weight.
